About us

We are the Nash family and we make hats in Leona, Texas. Small town. Best steakhouse in the state, which is most of what it is known for.

Armadillo Hat Co. started in the sunroom of the family farmhouse. That was the whole operation, one room. We were building the gear we wanted for ourselves, for hunting and golf and the days that are a little of both, because most of what we could buy was either cheap or dressed up like a costume. Turned out other people wanted the same thing. We outgrew the sunroom and moved into a 2,000 square foot barn on the property, which is where we still work.

Everything we sell, we made because we wanted it first. We design it here, we pack your order here, and if something is wrong with it you are talking to the family, not a call center.
